Christine Fisher-Lathwell

Christine Fisher-Lathwell began her career as a window dresser at Pack and Cullifords on the Isle of Wight at the age of 16.

Her artistic flair quickly set her apart, and she soon became responsible for dressing windows across various store branches.

With the support of the Guy family, Christine studied at Portsmouth Art College, refining her display skills, and developed a reputation for creating eye-catching, balanced displays using innovative props and techniques.

She moved to London, where she worked in prominent stores like Selfridges and Bond Street shops during the vibrant 1960’s fashion scene.

After returning to the Isle of Wight, Christine resumed her role at Packs, adapting to changes in fashion and window dressing styles. She mentored new staff and worked on seasonal displays, including intricate Christmas windows, where her creativity truly shone.

Christine also contributed to local events, designing carnival floats and assisting with fashion shows. Her career spanned several decades, marked by a deep passion for display and an ability to evolve with the times.
